You are truly cherished and forever in our hearts!

Arti passed away on October 12, 2003.  The week before she had trouble walking, her left leg became weak and it made it difficult for her to get around her cage.  Despite how she felt, when I came in the door each day she still greeted me as best she could.  I hoped she would get stronger and recover, but she didn't.  We took her to the vet on Sunday the 12th and after the examination, both her legs were very weak.  While we were there she continued to get weaker and we finally had to say goodbye.  It was the hardest thing I have ever had to do, but to let her continue to suffer would not have been right after all the love she'd given me over the past 10 years.

When Arti first found the World Wide Web, she decided she would build the best parakeet info site out there.  But as time went on, pin feathers grew in... tail feathers fell out, she discovered others had beaten her to the punch!  Feeling a little defeated, she brainstormed that little bird-brain...  While pecking through the pages of sad tales, crazy made-up stories and fact-filled information, she found herself becoming somewhat of a critic....and 'ArtiGurl's Perch' was hatched!  Read on and see if Arti gives a wing up or wing down on your favorite parakeet site!
